Wednesday Nights
the Light

Each Wednesday night, we provide a place for each student to find what area of ministry they are best suited for. From 6:30-7 pm, we have Awana for those pursuing Awana awards, we have our student drama team, YASHAR CHADAH, that meets during this time, and also we have a youth ensemble, KALEO SHACAH, that gathers to sing God’s praises. Each of these ministries teaches us to have a part in the body of Christ and helps us find what we are best suited for, whether it be drama or music or whatever. Also, we have our regular youth group meeting during The Light on Wednesday night from 7-8 pm.

Interl’inc: Maximizing music and media in youth ministry, is providing us with a music video loop and resources to keep us in touch with today’s best Christian music. They provide studies that are designed to use videos that are great in setting up messages, bringing home a point, or wrapping up a theme that we study from God’s word. Not only does it introduce us to a lot of good, fresh artists but it also gets to the heart of each song, why it was written and what purpose the artist had in communicating that song. Often times it is a circumstance that we’ve been through, are going through or are preparing for and it helps us realize that we can make it through any situation and there is a reason for us going through it (1 Cor. 10:13).

We are called to be the light to this dark world (Matt. 5:14). People should see the Light of Christ in our lives (Matt. 5:16). We come to learn about our Savior and learn to carry him with us wherever we go. Psalm 119:105 says that His word is a light unto our path. We gather all of our knowledge from the Bible because it is our light, it tells us how we need to live. So we come to THE LIGHT to learn about THE LIGHT so that we can share THE LIGHT to this dark world.
